Bruno Mars maps summer tour

Ahead of his highly anticipated performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday, Bruno Mars has revealed plans to return to the road this summer. The pop star will return to Boston for a show at the TD Garden on Wednesday, July 2 as part of his “Moonshine Jungle” world tour. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $42.50 to $127.50, will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Mars will be joined by special guest Aloe Blacc.

Mars continues tour in support of 2012’s Unorthodox Jukebox, which just won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. The album, Mars’ sophomore release and follow-up to 2010’s Doo-Wops & Hooligans, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 after its release in December of 2012 and has reached the top ten in over 15 different countries. Executive produced by The Smeezingtons, the hit-making production team comprised of Mars, Philip Lawrence, and Ari Levine, it also includes production credits from producers including Mark Ronson, Jeff Bhasker, Diplo, Emile Haynie, Benny Blanco and Paul Epworth. Unorthodox Jukebox has been powered by hit singles “Locked Out of Heaven”, “When I Was Your Man” and “Treasure” (video streaming below).

Following the show in Boston, Mars will travel south to Connecticut for a performance at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford on Wednesday, July 9.

Blacc will be touring in support of his 2013 major label debut Lift Your Spirit, which has been powered by the hit single “Wake Me Up”.
