Bruno Mars and Janelle Monáe team up for tour

Fresh off their captivating performance at the Grammy’s, Bruno Mars and Janelle Monáe have announced a co-headlining North American tour. The two will embark on their “Hooligans in Wondaland” tour this spring and make their way to Massachusetts for a show at Boston’s Agganis Arena on Saturday, May 7. Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday, February 26 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $35.

The two artists received a standing ovation after their doo-wop inspired set which included a take on Mars’ “Grenade” and ended with Monáe crowd-surfing to her hit “Cold War” at Sunday’s Grammy Awarrds. Mars also took home the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance award for “Just the Way You Are”.

Both artists continues to tour in support of their 2010 debut albums, Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligan and Monáe’s The ArchAndroid (Suites II and III).

British rapper Plan B will open the Boston show, while Mayer Hawthorne & The County have been tapped to open the second half of the tour.
