Bruce Springsteen plans a Garden party for March

Bruce Springsteen has revealed plans for his highly anticipated new album and subsequent tour. The Boss will join the E Street Band and launch the first leg of a 2012 world tour in March with a show scheduled for Boston’s TD Garden on Monday, March 26. Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $67.50 and $100.50.

Springsteen will be tour in support of his forthcoming album, Wrecking Ball, which is scheduled to hit stores on March 6. The album, his 17th studio effort and first since 2009’s Working on a Dream, will feature a special guest appearance from Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave. Wrecking Ball was produced by Ron Aniello with Springsteen and executive producer Jon Landau. Fans can get a taste of the new material with lead single “We Take Care of Our Own”, which is streaming below.

The upcoming tour will mark Springsteen and the E Street Band’s first since the death of saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who passed away in June 2011. The current E Street Band lineup includes Roy Bittan (piano, synthesizer), Nils Lofgren (guitar, vocals), Patti Scialfa (guitar, vocals), Garry Tallent (bass guitar), Stevie Van Zandt (guitar, vocals) and Max Weinberg (drums) with Soozie Tyrell (violin, guitar, vocals) and Charlie Giordano (keyboards).
