Currently touring across Australia, Bruce Springsteen has revealed plans for the first set of stateside shows in support of his brand new album, High Hopes. Joined by the E Street Band, The Boss will hit Connecticut for a pair of performances at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. Tickets for each of the shows will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $98 and $118.

High Hopes, Springsteen’s eighteenth studio effort and follow-up to 2012’s Wrecking Ball, debuted at #1 in 20 countries last month. It marked eleventh album to reach #1 in the United States, placing him third all-time for most #1 albums only behind The Beatles and Jay Z. Co-produced by Ron Aniello, Brendan O’Brien and Springsteen, High Hopes is a collection of cover songs, previously unreleased songs and re-recorded tunes from past albums, EPs and tours. Springsteen is joined on the album by the E Street Band along with guitarist Tom Morello (of Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave) and several other guest musicians. Clarence Clemons, who passed away in 2011, and Danny Federici, who passed away in 2008, also appear on several songs of what Springsteen called in a press release “some of our best unreleased material from the past decade”.

Along with the title track, which serves as its lead single, High Hopes features “Just Like Fire Would” (video is streaming below).
