Bronson Arroyo plans return to Boston

, Staff

Former Red Sox pitcher Bronson Arroyo will return to Massachusetts next month. Now with the Cincinnati Reds, Arroyo continues to turn to his other passion in the off-season: music. He’ll perform at Showcase Live in Foxboro on Friday, December 17. Tickets are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $25.

Arroyo released his debut album, Covering the Bases, in 2005. The album was comprised of all cover songs including tributes to bands such as Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Goo Goo Dolls and Incubus. The album also includes a rendition of The Standells’s “Dirty Water”, which he recorded with then teammates Johnny Damon, Lenny DiNardo, and Kevin Youkilis. Arroyo also appears as a guest on local favorite Chad Perrone’s album, Wake, with the song “Since You”.
