Brian Wilson and Jeff Beck will join forces for a co-headlining tour this fall. The co-founder of the Beach Boys and former Yardbirds guitarist will make their way to Massachusetts for a performance at the Citi Wang Theatre in Boston on Wednesday, October 9.  Tickets for the show, which range in price from $39.50 to $150, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Telecharge.

Wilson, who spent much of 2012 on the road for the Beach Boy’s 50th anniversary tour, will be reunited with former bandmates Al Jardine and David Marks on the upcoming tour. The legendary singer-songwriter is currently working on his eleventh studio effort. Beck recently joined Wilson in the studio as a guest on the yet-to-be-named upcoming album.

“Jeff is one of the most amazing guitarists I’ve ever worked with and his vibe is inspiring,” explained Wilson in a press release. “I feel having Jeff Beck co-headline with me is a cool and exciting addition. We’ve got some new tunes we want to try out on a live crowd as well as doing some great music from our catalogues.”

In a recent interview with USA Today, Beck previewed the show. “He’s got a truckload of hits to play, but we’ll build on that and interact,”he said. “Brian will kick things off, but I’ll also be given enough time to establish what I’m about. In the end, we’ll mix and match. It’s a complete honor to be on stage with him.”

Beck, a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee (as a member of the Yardbirds in 1992 and as a solo artist in 2009), is regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. His last studio release was 2010’s Emotion & Commotion.

Following the shows in Massachusetts, Wilson and Beck will hit Connecticut for performances in Wallingford (The Oakdale Theatre on October 11) and Westbury (Theater at Westbury on October 12).
