Brandi Carlile will return to the road this summer to promote 2012’s Bear Creek. Prior to opening for the Dave Matthews Band in Massachusetts, the veteran singer-songwriter will deliver headlining shows of her own in Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

Carlile will perform at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on Thursday, June 13. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $28 to $39, are now on sale through Ticketmaster. The following night, she’ll perform at the Newport Yachting Center as part of the Newport Sunset Music Series. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $30.50 to $50.50, will go on sale Thursday at noon through Ticketmaster. Opening both concerts will be The Lone Bellow.

Bear Creek, Carlile’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Give Up the Ghost, debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 after its release last June, marking her highest-charting album to date. Named for the studio where most of the album was recorded – Bear Creek Studios, which is housed in a converted early 20th century barn near Carlile’s hometown of Seattle – it was co-produced by Carlile, her longtime bandmates The Twins (Tim and Phil Hanseroth) and Grammy Award-winning mixer Trina Shoemaker (Sheryl Crow, Queens of the Stone Age). Bear Creek features single “That Wasn’t Me” (video is streaming below) and “Keep Your Heart Young”.

In 2011, Carlile released Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony, which was recorded during two sold-out homecoming shows in November 2010.
