Bon Jovi will embark on a worldwide tour next year in support of their forthcoming album, What About Now. The pride of New Jersey will kick off their “Because We Can” tour in Connecticut with a show at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on Saturday, February 9. Tickets for the show will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $125 and $195.

On the upcoming tour, Bon Jovi fans can expect a set packed with greatest hits, fan favorites and new songs from What About Now. No official release date for the band’s twelfth studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s The Circle has been announced. It is expected to hit stores in March.

Though no details have been revealed, Bon Jovi are expected to perform at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro next summer.

The band’s last tour wrapped in the summer of 2011 with a $365 million total gross, according to Boxscore, making it seventh all time among the highest grossing tours in history. The band also finished as Billboard’s highest-grossing tour of the year twice in three years, 2008 and 2010, a feat only accomplished by the Rolling Stones and the Grateful Dead.

Between recordings, the members of Bon Jovi have kept busy with individual projects. Keyboardist David Bryan’s musical “Memphis” won four Tony Awards and is now touring nationally with stops in Boston and Providence before the end of the year. Drummer Tico Torees paintings were showcased in several galleries, while guitarist Richie Sambora released a new solo album called Aftermath of the Lowdown. Frontman Jon Bon Jovi has penned a few songs for the soundtrack to “Stand Up Guys”, an upcoming comedy movie starring Al Pacino and Christopher Walken.
