Led by mastermind Justin Vernon, Bon Iver continue to tour in support of 2011′s Bon Iver, Bon Iver. The album, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 after its release last June, won this year’s Grammy Award for “Best Alternative Music Album”. Hit single “Holocene” was nominated for “Song of the Year” and “Record of the Year”. The album was recorded and mixed at April Base Studios, a former veterinarian’s clinic in Fall Creek, Wisconsin, converted into a recording studio by Vernon and his brother.
Bon Iver also recently released a new iTunes Session EP, which was recorded last year at East West Studios in West Hollywood. Last week, the band picked up the award for “Independent Album of the Year” at the inaugural Libera Awards curated by the American Association of Independent Music.
