With a new album due in June, Bon Iver will hit the road this summer for a nationwide tour. The indie rock favorites will play Boston’s House of Blues on Friday, August 5. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $35 and $45. North Carolina=based indie-folk rockers The Rosebuds will open the show.

Led by mastermind Justin Vernon, Bon Iver will be touring in support of their forthcoming self-titled release. The album, the band’s sophomore effort and followup to 2008’s For Emma, Forever Ago, will hit stores on June 21. Bon Iver was recorded and mixed at April Base Studios, a former veterinarian’s clinic in Fall Creek, Wisconsin, converted into a recording studio by Vernon and his brother.

For the shows, Vernon will perform with a 8-piece band that includes many musicians who contributed to the forthcoming album. The touring band will consist of regular Bon Iver contributors Sean Carey (drums, piano), Mike Noyce (guitar) and Matt McCaughan (drums), Rob Moose on violin and guitar (Antony and the Johnsons, The National), Mike Lewis on bass (Andrew  Bird, Happy Apple), and a horn section including Reginald Pace, Colin Stetson (Tom Waits, Arcade Fire), and C.J. Camerieri (Rufus Wainwright, Sufjan Stevens).
