Bob Seger will return to the road this fall to promote his forthcoming album, Ride Out. Joined by special guests The J. Geils Band, Seger and his Silver Bullet Band will deliver two performances in New England, including a show at Boston’s TD Garden on Saturday, November 29. Tickets for the concert will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $78.50 and $98.50.

Ride Out, Seger’s 17th studio effort and first in eight years, will hit stores on October 14. It follows 2006’s Face the Promise, which was his first offering of new material in 11 years. The new album is comprised of ten tracks, featuring six new originals and four covers. Lead single “Detroit Made”, originally recorded by John Hiatt, is streaming below.

“I feel really good about this record,” said Seger, who also produced the album, in a press release. “This album touches on how I think a lot of us feel about finding our place in a more complicated world — from how we appreciate things as simple and pure as love, to navigating through the corruption and violence that permeates the news. It sums up a lot of feelings I have about a variety of subjects.”

Following the show in Boston, Seger will return to New England for a performance at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Saturday, December 6. Tickets for the show, which will also feature The J. Geils Band, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $85 and $105.

The “Ride Out” tour will mark Seger’s most extensive since 2006/2007’s “Face The Promise” tour.

The J. Geils Band, who reunited in 2009 for the first time in over a decade to open the House of Blues in Boston, have performed several shows in New England over the past few years. In 2012, the band’s namesake and original guitarist Jay Geils did not participate due to a legal dispute between he, his record label (Francesca Records), and the band over the “ownership and control of the rights to the name ‘J. Geils Band'”. The J. Geils Band currently features original members Peter Wolf (lead vocals), Seth Justman (keyboards), Danny Klein (bass) and Magic Dick (harmonica), alongside longtime associates Duke Levine (guitar) and Tom Arey (drums).
