Bob Dylan to play the House of Blues

Bob Dylan has added a special tour closing show in Boston to his ongoing summer tour. Dylan and his band will play rare and intimate show at the House of Blues on Sunday, August 21. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $56.25 and $76.25.

Dylan, 70, released Bob Dylan in Concert: Brandeis University earlier this year. The recording of the May 10, 1963 performance at Brandeis University’s First Annual Folk Festival, had previously never been heard, bootlegged, or circulated in any way.

Last year, he released a new box set called The Original Mono Recordings The set is comprised of Dylan’s first eight studio albums in mono on nine compact discs, the album Blonde on Blonde being issued on two discs in its original vinyl format. Dylan’s most recent studio release of new material was 2009’s Together Through Life.
