Our Best Picks - Our Music Picks - Our Non Music Picks
Our Best Picks
Nateva Music and Camping Festival in Oxford, Maine – All Weekend : For years the New England area has been starved for a bona fide music festival as we heard of the celebrations at the likes of Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, etc. This year things are different as Maine will host a plethora of talent. Passion Pit leads the way for local acts while The Flaming Lips, moe., and Further all serve as headliners. Weekend passes are available for $229
Boston Pops with Toby Keith at the Hatch Shell on Sunday: Boston is known for our Independence Day celebration, as well we should seeing as we started the Revolution. So get in on some classic Americana with special guest, country music superstar and all-around All-American Toby Keith at the Hatch Shell, which is free as always. Of course, you can also hit up the open dress rehearsal (sans firworks) on Saturday.
Our Music Picks

Oranjuly, The Everyday Visuals, The Luxury at the Middle East Downstairs: Don’t worry, not all the great local bands will be heading up north this weekend as The Everyday Visuals and The Luxury stick around to celebrate with Oranjuly for their CD release. The show kicks off with another local standout in Spirit Kid. Tickets are available for the bargain price of $12.
Destroy Babylon on the Rock On! Concert Cruises: Billed as “The Clash on the High Seas” catch Destroy Babylon as they run through The Clash’s classic London Calling album in it’s entirety. Tickets are $25.
