Blondie to play Hampton Beach next month

Having just competed a tour of Europe, Blondie are now gearing up for a tour of North America. Joined by special guests X, the new wave favorites will launch their “No Principals Tour” in New Hampshire next month. The band will perform at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on Thursday, September 5. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $33 to $63, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

Along with the upcoming tour, Blondie are gearing up for the release of their forthcoming album Ghosts of Download. No release date for the band’s tenth studio effort and follow-up to 2001’s Panic of Girls has been announced but its expected to hit stores this fall. Fans who purchases tickets to the upcoming tour will receive a five new songs from Ghosts of Download for free: “Make A Way”, “Drag You Around”, “Can’t Stop Wanting”, “A Rose By Any Name” (streaming below) and “I Screwed Up”.

Blondie is currently comprised of original members Debbie Harry, Clem Burke and Chris Stein along with newer members Leigh Foxx, Tommy Kessler and Matt Katz-Bohen.

X features the original line-up of John Doe, Exene Cervenka, Billy Zoom, and D.J. Bonebrake. On September 3, the band will release a vinyl 12″ four-L.P. Limited Edition Collectors Box Set with seminal albums Los Angeles, Wild Gift, Under the Big Black Sun and More Fun in the New World. It will also feature a booklet foreword authored by the late Ray Manzarek of The Doors.
