With his summer tour plans already including stops at several Major League Baseball stadiums, Billy Joel has confirmed plans to visit Boston for a night at Fenway Park. The Piano Man will perform at “America’s Most Beloved Ballpark” on Thursday, June 26. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $49.50 to $139.50, will go on sale Saturday, February 8 at 10 a.m. through

Over the course of his legendary career, Joel has sold over 150 million albums globally. The singer/songwriter/composer is the sixth best-selling recording artist of all time and the third best-selling solo artist. His last offering of all new material was 2001’s Fantasies & Delusions.

Earlier this week, Joel kicked off his historic residency at Madison Square Garden. As the legendary venue’s “fourth franchise”, he’ll perform one concert a month at the arena. Prior to the start of the residency, Joel has played a record-breaking 47 shows at the arena since 1978, including a sold-out run of 12 consecutive nights in 2006.

The concert at Fenway will mark Joel’s first concert in Massachusetts in five years. In 2009, he teamed up with Elton John for a performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.

Fenway is expected to announce additional concerts later this spring. Last year, the ballpark hosted Paul McCartney, Jason Aldean, Justin Timberlake and Jay Z.
