Ben Harper has revealed plans for his first-ever acoustic headlining tour. The veteran rocker will hit Massachusetts and perform at the Boston Opera House on Friday, October 5. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $40 to $75, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

The fall tour is sure to be a big hit for Harper’s dedicated fanbase. Ever since his acclaimed acoustic performance at the inaugural Bonnaroo Music Festival in 2002, Harper has been besieged by fan requests for this kind of intimate outing. He will be performing songs from throughout his career – from his 1994 debut, Welcome to the Cruel World, to his latest album, Give Till It’s Gone.

Give Till It’s Gone, Harper’s 10th studio album and first solo record since 2006’s Both Sides of the Gun, debuted at #15 on the Billboard 200 after its release last May. Ringo Starr of The Beatles co-wrote and played the drums on two tracks, “Spilling Faith” and “Get There from Here”, while Jackson Browne provides guest vocals on “Pray That Our Love Sees the Dawn”.
