Bell X1 have revealed plans for a stateside tour in support of their brand new album, Chop Chop. The Irish rockers will stop in Massachusetts for a night at The Sinclair in Cambridge on Friday, October 11. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $15.

Chop Chop, Bell X1’s sixth studio effort and follow-up to 2012’s Field Recordings, debuted at #1 on the Irish charts after its release month. The album, which marks their third release in as many years, was released stateside earlier this month. The band recorded the album at Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, Connecticut with co-producers Thomas Bartlett and Peter Katis (The National).

“I can’t remember the last time I was part of a record that was recorded, mixed and mastered in only two weeks,” explained Katis in a press release. “The guys came in really prepared song-wise and performance-wise. We had a ‘live’ setup of drums, bass and upright piano all in the same room—tracking to tape, going for full takes. It was a slightly old-fashioned approach, without the usual digital safety net, and I think that energy comes across in the music.”

“We returned to simpler times,” added Bell XI frontman Paul Noonan, “when all around here was fields. Shrink the palette, you know? Chop chop!”
