Bela Fleck & The Flecktones plot return to MA

After a successful summer tour, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones will return to New England this month as part of the ongoing fall tour. The band will make three stops in Massachusetts, including the Sanders Theatre at Harvard University in Cambridge on Friday, November 18. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $40 to $54, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website.

Prior to the Cambridge show, the band will perform at the Calvin Theatre in Northhampton on November 10. Tickets are available through NBOTickets for $35 and $45. The following night, they’ll make their way to New Bedford a performance on November 11. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $35 to $55, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website.

Other New England shows include Brownfield, Maine (at the Stone Mountain Arts Center on November 13), Rutland, Vermont (at the Paramount Theater on November 19) and Concord, New Hampshire (at the Capital Center for the Arts on November 20).

Led by Grammy Award-winning banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck, The Flecktones are touring in support if their brand new album, Rocket Science. It marks the band’s first new release since 1992’s UFO Tofu with their classic lineup of pianist/harmonica player, bassist Victor Wooten, percussionist/drummer Roy “Futureman” Wooten and Fleck. Rocket Science reached #1 on Billboard’s Jazz Albums chart. For more on the new album, check out the video below.
