Bassnectar has revealed plans to return to the road this spring. The dubstepper, born Lorin Ashton, will visit Boston for back-to-back performances at the House of Blues on Thursday, April 25, and Friday, April 26. Tickets for both shows will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $32.50 and $50. Thriftworks will provide support on both nights, while Michal Menert will perform on Thursday and Archnemesis on Friday.

The producer/DJ, who has also lined up appearances at Miami’s Ultra Music Fest and California’s Coachella Festival, continues to support his latest release, 2012’s Vava Voom. He’s also released a new EP and mixtape, both called Freestyle.

“After a year of slammed arena shows, we wanted to put together a special run of dates in tighter, more intimate venues; some of which we have outgrown, and some of which we’ve never played before,” explained Bassnectar in a statement to fans on his website. “We will be bringing our full set-up out and customizing each room into the perfect setting for maximum explosion, and we have hand-picked each venue for its ideal atmosphere.”

Following the show in Boston, Bassnectar will perform at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island on Sunday, April 28. Tickets for the show, which will also feature Gritz and Thriftwork, will go on sale Friday at noon through eTix for $33.50.
