Bassnectar has revealed plans for a tour in support of his upcoming EP Vava Voom. The dubstepper, born Lorin Ashton, will visit Boston for back-to-back performances at the House of Blues on Wednesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 19. Tickets for both shows are now on sale through Live Nation for $34 and $41. Electronic artist VibeSquaD (Aaron Holstein) will also perform.

The producer/DJ, who is currently on tour in Australia and New Zealand, recently released a new mixtape compilation, Amorphous Music Mixtape, Vol. 7. Earlier this month, Bassnectar released his Divergent Spectrum Remixes for free download on his website. The EP features collaborations with Steve Aoki, The Glitch Mob, Beats Antique and Terravita. Vava Voom, Bassnectar’s fifth EP and follow-up to 2011’s full-length album Divergent Spectrum, is scheduled for an April release.

“Each track is on the harder edge of the spectrum, targeting dancefloors and flash mobs of bass heads who want to rage,” Bassnectar said of the upcoming EP in a recent interview with Under the Gun Review. “Although it’s intended mostly for DJs, we wanted to make it available to anyone and everyone, for free.”
