Avenged Sevenfold plot ambitious arena tour

Avenged Sevenfold have revealed plans to return the road and embark on their first full scale American tour since 2011. The California-based hard rockers will release their brand new album Hail to the King next month and then hit the road in October for an ambitious arena tour with help from special guests the Deftones and Ghost B.C. The tour will stop in Boston for a night at the TD Garden on Wednesday, October 9. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $39.50 to $75, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Hail to the King, Avenged Sevenfold’s sixth studio effort, will be released on August 23. It will mark their first album with original drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, who passed away in 2009. Arin Ilejay, who joined the band as a touring drummer in 2011 before becoming an official member in 2013, is featured on the album. Hail to the King reunited the band with acclaimed producer Mike Elizondo, who worked on the band’s last release 2010’s Nightmare which earned their highest ever debut on the Billboard album chart at #1. The album’s title track, which also serves as its lead single, is streaming below.
