Ash have unveiled plans for their first tour of the United States in seven years. The veteran Irish rockers, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band this year, will hit the road for a brief stateside tour next month. The band will hit Boston for a intimate show at Great Scott on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 21. Tickets for the show, which is being presented as part of the Fenway Recordings Sessions, are available through TicketWeb for $15..

To coincide with the tour, Ash will release a special edition colored triple-vinyl edition of their A-Z Series next month through Noyes Records. The vinyl set will include a card to download the digital version with bonus content and the entire A-Z Series will be made available via all digital service providers for the first time in the United States.

After releasing their fifth studio album Twilight of the Innocents in 2007, Ash revealed that they would no longer release a proper album. Instead, they would release digital singles as they were completed. The A-Z Series, which began in 2009, features 26 songs that were released as singles every two weeks.

“We needed to find a challenge, so this was it,” said frontman Tim Wheeler of the project in a press release. “It’s almost like being an athlete in training. We got into a good flow, and it was a really creative time because of that. We never ran out of ideas. They just kept coming.”

Ash’s upcoming tour will begin with a few support dates in Florida for Weezer, the band that they supported on their first trip to the states.
