After rocking the intimate confines of the Paradise Rock Club last year, Arctic Monkeys have revealed plans to tackle a more expansive venue on their return visit to the Hub in 2014. With help from special guests Deerhunter, the English rockers will play Boston’s Agganis Arena on Thursday, February 6 as part of their stateside tour. Tickets for the show are available through Ticketmaster for $35 and $42.50.

Arctic Monkeys continue to tour in support of their new album, AM. Releaed in September, the band’s fifth studio effort and follow-up to 2011’s Suck It and See, debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 and atop the native UK albums chart. The album features guest appearances by Josh Homme (of Queens of the Stone Age), Bill Ryder-Jones (of The Coral) and Pete Thomas (of Elvis Costello & The Attractions). Recorded in California with long-time producer/collaborator James Ford and co-producer Ross Orton, it was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize (annual award for the best album from the United Kingdom and Ireland). AM features singles “Do I Wanna Know?”, “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” and “One For The Road” (video is streaming below).

Deerhunter continue to tou in support of 2013’s Monomania. The band’s sixth studio and follow-up to 2010’s Halcyon Digest, was co-produced by the band and Nicolas Vernhes. It marks the band’s first release with bassist Josh McKay and guitarist Frankie Broyles.
