Alter Bridge have announced plans to return to the road in support of their new album, Fortress. The rock favorites will hit Boston for a show at the Royale on Tuesday, April 22. Tickets for the show, which will also feature openers Monster Truck, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $30.

Fortress, Alter Bridge’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s AB III, debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 and #5 on Billboard’s Rock chart after its release in October. The band once again teamed up with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette, who produced their two previous albums. The video for lead single “Addicted to Pain” is streaming below.

“When we started pre-production on this album, we pushed ourselves harder and further than we ever have previously in order to make the most out of every individual arrangement,” explained guitarist Mark Tremonti in a press release. “We wanted this album to be our most unpredictable and exciting one yet. From the early feedback we have received, it looks like we have achieved what we set out to do.”

Alter Bridge is comprised of Tremonti, lead vocalist and guitarist Myles Kennedy, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips.
