Alkaline Trio have revealed plans for a summer tour in celebration of their fifteenth anniversary. The punk rock trio from Chicago will hit Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Thursday, August 11. Tickets for the show will go on sale Thursday at noon through Ticketmaster for $19.99. Opening the all-ages gig will be mewithoutYou and The Drowning Men.

Along with the tour, Alkaline Trio have revealed plans to release a new album called Damnesia on July 12. The new record features a selection of fan favorites selected from the group’s extensive catalogue and presented in an semi-unplugged format. Also included will be a cover of The Violent Femmes’ “I Held Her In My Arms”, as well as two brand new songs entitled “Olde English 800” and “I Remember A Rooftop.” Damnesia was recorded earlier this year at Harley Studios in Costa Mesa, California.

“We’re looking forward to our 15th anniversary tour this summer,” declared singer/bassist Dan Andriano in a press release. “We’re going to really try to put together a set that encompasses everything the band has done over the past 15 years and plan to play some songs that rarely find their way in to the set list. We will also play some songs in an unplugged style similar to what we’ve recently recorded on Damnesia. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
