Alicia Keys will make two stops in New England this spring as she tours in support of her new album, Girl on Fire. Along with a show in Connecticut, the New York-bred Grammy Award-winning singer will perform at Boston’s Agganis Arena on Wednesday, April 10 as part of her “Set the World on Fire” tour. Tickets for the show, which will range in price from $47 to $127, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Opening the show will be R&B singer Miguel.

Girl on Fire, Keys’ fifth studio effort and first since 2009’s The Element of Freedom, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 after its release in November. Recording sessions for the album took place in New York, London and Jamaica with an array of producers including husband Swizz Beatz, Babyface, Kerry Brothers, Jr. and Jeff Bhasker. Girl on Fire features special guests Nicki Minaj, Maxwell and Gary Clark Jr. The album has been powered by hit singles “Girl on Fire” and “Brand New Me”, which was co-written with Scottish singer-songwriter Emeli Sande and is streaming below.

Girl on Fire is about finding your voice, about being unleashed and about trusting your instincts and trusting yourself,” explained Keys in press release.

Prior to the show in Boston, Keys will perform at the MGM Grand Theatre at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut on Saturday, April 6. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $95 to $150, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website.

As previously reported, Keys will perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday in New Orleans.
