After delighting fans last May, Alan Jackson will return to Connecticut for another show at the Mohegan Sun Arena this spring. The veteran country superstar will play the Uncasville, Connecticut venue on Friday, April 29. Rising star Sunny Sweeney will open the show. Tickets are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $40 and $60.

It’s been a busy year for Jackson, who just wrapped up a tour of Australia, will soon play shows in Candada and even has dates scheduled for a Scandinavian tour in August. Earlier this week, he signed a new record deal with Capital Records and revealed he will soon hit the studio to cut a new album. Last March, he released his sixteenth studio effort, Freight Train. Most recently, he contributed vocals to the Zac Brown Band’s hit single “As She’s Walking Away”.

Jackson has topped the country singles charts 35 times and scored more than 50 Top-10 hits. He’s a 16-time award winner at both the CMA and ACM Awards (a tally that includes three CMA Entertainer of the Year honors), as well as a two-time Grammy Award winner.
