After opening for the Dropkick Murphys during the band series of St. Patrick’s Day shows, Against Me! have revealed plans for summer tour that will bring them back to the Hub for a headlining show of their own. The Florida-based punk rockers will play Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Thursday, June 9. Tickets for the show, which will feature opening sets from Screaming Females and Lemuria, are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $17.50.

Against Me! will be touring in support of their latest album, White Crosses. Released last summer, it’s the band’s fifth studio and first since 2007’s New Wave. Produced by Butch Vig, it also marks the band’s first release without longtime drummer Warren Oakes. George Rebelo (of Hot Water Music) recorded the drum tracks for the album, while Jay Weinberg (son of Max Weinberg, drummer for Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band) has since joined the band on a permanent basis. Next month, Against Me! will release Total Clarity, a collection of demos and unreleased songs from the recording sessions for 2005’s Searching for a Former Clarity.

Most recently, Against Me! recorded a few new tunes at the storied Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin, prior to its closing. “Russian Spies” and “Occult Enemies” will be released both digitally and as a 7″ vinyl on June 14. Additionally, during their visit to Smart, the band recorded their rendition of the theme song for the hit CW drama One Tree Hill, which will air on Tuesday, May 3.
