Aerosmith have announced plans to return to the road this summer for a highly anticipated tour of North America . As part of their “Global Warning” summer tour with special guests Cheap Trick, the “Bad Boys of Boston” will rock a homecoming show at the TD Garden on Tuesday, July 17. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $49.50 to $149.50, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through through Ticketmaster.

“The old Aerosmith is back with a new vengeance and we will kick your ass and make out with yur mothers,” frontman Steven Tyler declared in a press release. Guitarist Joe Perry added, “Can’t wait to bring this band back home, it feels like we’ve been away too long.”

The North American outing is the band’s first since 2010.  Last year, Aerosmith toured overseas. “After touring Japan and South America last year we’re psyched about bringing it all back for the hometown fans,” added bassist Tom Hamilton. “We’re going to break out the classics, the hits and maybe even some of the new ones we’ve been banging out in the studio.”

Fans will most likely hear some long-awaited new material along with plenty of old classics in concert. Aerosmith have been working on their 15th studio album for several years now and at a press conference in California this week, confirmed they plan to release the Jack Douglas-produced album sometime this summer to coincide with the tour.

Aerosmith will be offering a variety of VIP Packages that will include meet and greet access for the upcoming tour. More information on the packages can be found here.
