Aerosmith have announced plans for a rare theater show in Connecticut this summer. The legendary rockers will play the intimate confines of the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods Casino (4,000 seat capacity) on Wednesday, July 10. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for a whopping $175 and $300.

Music From Another Dimension!, Aerosmith’s 15th studio album, debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 after its release in November. It marks the band’s first studio release since 2004’s Honkin’ on Bobo and first of all original material since 2001’s Just Push Play. The new album, which was recorded in Los Angeles and at guitarist Joe Perry home studio (“The Boneyard”) in Duxbury, was produced by Jack Douglas, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, with the exception of three tracks produced by Tyler and Marti Frederiksen. Music From Another Dimension! features lead single “Legendary Child” (video is streaming below), “What Could Have Been Love” and “Lover A Lot”.

The band celebrated Music From Another Dimension! by performing a free show the day before its release in front of their old apartment on Commonwealth Avenue.

Later this month, Aerosmith will perform in New Zealand for the very first time and return to Australia for the first time in 24 years. In June, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the organization’s 44th Annual Induction and Awards Dinner.
