3 Doors Down have revealed plans for a special all-acoustic tour in 2014. The Mississippi-bred rockers will make one stop in New England as part of their “Songs From the Basement” tour, with a performance scheduled for the Zeiterion Theatre in New Bedford, Massachusetts on Saturday, February 15. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $39.50 to $69.50, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website. A limited number of VIP packages featuring on stage seating are available through the band’s website.

On the upcoming trek, fans can expect 3 Doors Down to deliver a set mixing hits, fan favorites and even a few rarities in the stripped-down setting.

“We experimented with an acoustic show in Nashville and had such a great response that we decided to take it on the road,” explained frontman Brad Arnold in a press release. “We’ve never toured like this before, some of these songs have never been played live!”

In an interview with Guitar World, guitarist Chris Henderson commented that the band’s feels a different connection with their fans in the acoustic setting. “If you go in and sit down on a stool and start playing acoustic songs and people are expecting that, they become more of a part of the show than they ever would before,” he said. “Because now there’s a little bit of a communication thing going on between us and the crowd, and it’s an embrace almost between the band and the crowd.”

3 Doors Down last offering of all new material was 2011’s Time of My Life. In 2012, they released a compilation album called The Greatest Hits, which also include three brand new songs.
