Hometown legends Mission of Burma have revealed plans for a two-night stand at the Paradise Rock Club. The band will perform Friday, January 15 and Saturday, January 16. Tickets for both shows are now on sale for $20 or $35 for a two-night pass.

The band will be supporting their new release, The Sound The Speed The Light. Recorded in Boston with Bob Weston at the controls, the new album the band’s fifth studio effort and first since 2006’s The Obliterati.

The Boston-based post-punk rockers formed in 1979 and called it quits in 1983 after only their second album. The trio of Clint Conley, Roger Miller and Peter Prescott reformed in 2002 and have been going strong since.
