MGMT to open for Paul McCartney at Fenway Park

Sir Paul McCartney has invited alternative/indie rockers MGMT to open his shows at Boston’s Fenway Park on August 5 and 6.
The Brooklyn based duo comprised of Andrew Van Wyngarden and Ben Goldwasser, continue to ride a wave of buzz and praise as they support their acclaimed 2008 major label debut album, Oracular Spectacular. Powered by hit singles "Time To Pretend", "Electric Feel" and "Kids", Oracular Spectacular has gone on to sell more than 1.5 million copies worldwide. The band is managed by Boston native Mark Kates of Fenway Recordings.
Tickets for both of McCartney’s Fenway Park shows will go on today& 10 a.m. via eTix and range in price from $69 to $205. No tickets will be sold at Fenway Park.
MGMT provided one of the top highlights of the recent Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee with a memorable 2 a.m. set.
