Meet Tool’s Maynard James Keenan!

Maynard James Keenan, full-time rocker as frontman for Tool, is in town this week to promote his other job, wine producer. Keenan will be at the Whole Foods Market on River Street in Cambridge today and tomorrow to promote his Arizona Stronghold Vineyard wines with partner Eric Glomski of Page Springs Cellars. He’ll be signing bottle of the wine for fans from 4:30 to 7:30 each night.

Though best known as the frontman for Tool as well as his side projects A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, Keenan has been a very successful entrepreneur. He is a part-owner of a Los Angeelse restaurant and Arizona produce market. His family made wine in northern Italy, which has been a catlyst for his passion of wine production. He owns the Merkin Vineyards and Caduceus Cellar in Arizona and now has teamed up with Glomski to start the Arizona Stronghold Vineyards. Their story is being featured in the forthcoming documentary, "Blood Into Wine: The Arizona Stronghold". To watch the film’s trailer, go here.

Meanwhile, Keenan and his bandmates in Tool are planning a summer tour. A stop at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire is in the works with more details to be revealed later this week.
