Matisyahu to bring Light to Worcester

Hasidic reggae/rap star Matisyahu and his backing back Dub Trio will hit Worcester this fall for a show at The Palladium. Tickets for the Sunday, November 22 show are $25 and will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Trevor Hall will open the show.

The show is part of an extensive fall/winter tour of North America in support of the Brooklyn-based artist’s recently released third album, Light. The album, which was released last month after numerous delays, comes three years after his major label debut Youth was released. Earlier this summer, Matisyahu tour with Umphrey’s McGee for a summer tour that stopped at the Bank of America Pavilion.

For the tour, Matisyahu has teamed up with the Australian company Posse, which offers a peer-to-peer ticketing system that rewards fans for actively promoting concerts. The partnership will allow fans to promote the Matisyahu tour through their various social-networking profiles. By linking to tickets directly, fans can earn a commission from each ticket sold. Prizes will be awarded to the top seller in each market.
