Mates of State have unveiled plans to visit Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Sunday, September 26. Fans may purchase tickets for the 18+ show through Live Nation for $16.50.

Comprised of husband and wife Jason Hammel and Kori Gardner, Mates of State are touring in support of their new release, Crushes. Released in June, the new album is a compilation of ten cover songs. Notable titles include “Sleep the Clock Around” by Belle & Sebastion, “Technicolor Girls” by Death Cab for Cutie and “Secondhand News” by Fleetwood Mac. “We’ve been talking about doing a covers record for a long time,” the two explained on their website. “We’d hear a great song at 2 AM while driving the straight line from one part of Texas to the next, and all we’d want to do is play that song as if we had written it.”

Mates of State will also play the Met Cafe in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on Monday, September 17.
