Martina McBride and Trace Adkins are teaming up for a co-headlining tour this winter. The two country music stars will bring their “Shine All Night” tour to Massachusetts for a show at Worcester’s DCU Center on Saturday, January 30. Tickets for the show, which are priced at $44.75 and $59.75, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

“I want fans to leave here knowing they got more than their money’s worth,” said McBride in a press release. “My goal is to have this on their list of memorable nights for years to come.” Adkins added, “I think this tour is going to give people a lot more bang for their buck. And that’s important, especially in today’s economy.”

The tour will return to the New England area on Sunday, March 14 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire. Tickets for that show are not expected to go on sale until next February.

McBride will be touring in support her new album Shine. The album, her tenth studio effort, was released in late March and has since peaked at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #10 on the Billboard 200. Adkins continues to back his 2008 release, X. The album is his eighth studio effort and includes the singles “Muddy Water”, “Marry for Money” and “All I Ask For Anymore”, all of which have charted in the Top 40 on Hot Country Songs.
In related news, a comic book series with a lead character based on Trace Adkins will be soon released by 12 Gauge Comics. The series is called “Luke McBain #1” and was developed by writer David Tischman and publisher Keven Gardner. In the first issue, which hit stores on November 11,  McBain returns to his Louisiana hometown after serving 14 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. The remaining three issues in the series will be released monthly through February 2010.
