After revealing the field of 24 participants for Boston’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Rumble, event organizer Anngelle Wood of WZLX’s Boston Emissions has announced the schedule for the 35th edition of the legendary battle of the bands.

The 2014 Rock ‘n’ Roll Rumble will kick off on Sunday, April 6 and continue over the course of three weeks at TT the Bear’s Place in Cambridge. Opening night will include sets from Rebuilder, Tigerman WOAH, Sinnet and Guillermo Sexo. The second night will feature Doom Lover, When Particles Collide, Goddamn Draculas and Emma Ate The Lion, while Barricades, Airport, Z*L and The Life Electric will perform on night three. The Rumble will observe its traditional “day of rest” on Wednesday before Butterknife, Slowdim, Gondoliers and Western Education kick off the second half of the preliminaries on Thursday. Feints, Petty Morals, Summoner and Vary Lumar will perform on Friday before Harris Hawk, Await Rescue, The Color and Sound and Yellabird close out the preliminary rounds on Saturday.

The full schedule with estimated set times is available below.

The winners from each night, along with a pair of Wild Card selections, will move on to the semi-final round on Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18. The finals will take place on Friday, April 25.

Tickets for each of the preliminary shows are available in advance through TicketWeb for $8. Semifinal tickets are available for $10, while tickets to the finals are $12. Local music fans who plan on attending every night will want to buy the all-inclusive pass for $70.

Now in its 35th year, the competition is the longest running battle of the bands in the country. Beyond serving as the city’s premier battle of the bands, the Rumble has been considered by many as a springtime music festival celebrating the local music scene. With no application process, bands are invited to perform at the Rumble and may only appear once. All bands are paid for their appearance with additional prizes and payment if they go on to the semifinals and finals rounds.

Eddie Japan took home the crown at the last year’s Rumble over Twin Berlin and Glenn Yoder & the Western States.

Previous champions include: Bow Thayer and Perfect Trainwreck (2012), John Powhida International Airport (2011), The Luxury (2009), Girls, Guns & Glory (2008), Township (2007), The Campaign For Real Time (2006), Reverend Glasseye (2005), Jake Brennan & the Confidence Men (2004), The Dresden Dolls (2003), The Gentlemen (2002), Bleu (2001), Darkbuster (2000) and The Sheila Divine (1999).
