Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling won the fifth night of Boston’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Rumble last night at TT the Bear’s Place. The band edged out an eclectic group of competition from Keep Me Conscious, Stereo Telescope and Tired Old Bones to book their spot in the semifinals.

The duo of Sophia Cacciola (drums, vocals) and Michael Epstein (bass) make up Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling. The band name and songs were inspired by the ’60s cult spy-fi TV show The Prisoner.

After five nights of spirited competition, the preliminary rounds of the Rumble will come to a close tomorrow night with sets from Cradle to the Grave, The Year Million, Black Thai and Sidewalk Driver. Tickets are $9 and the show starts at 9:30 p.m.

Winners from each of the nights, along with two Wild Card selections, will move on to the semifinal rounds on April 14 and 15. So far, Jenny Dee & the Deelinquents (winners of Night #1), Walter Sickert & the Army Of Broken Toys (winners of Night #2), John Powhida International Airport (winners of Night #3) and Mello Bravo (winners of Night #4) have all booked their spot in the semifinals. The finals will take place Friday, April 22.
