Classic rockers Kiss have revealed plans for their first new album in a decade, Sonic Boom. The band will release the album as part of a three-disc set that will include a disc of new songs, a greatest hits compilation that was re-recorded by the original lineup and previously available in Japan, and a DVD filmed at a concert earlier this year in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The package will be available exclusively through WalMart (including Sam’s Club) for $12, beginning on October 6.

Sonic Boom” will include the band’s first new material since 1998’s Psycho Circus. The album was produced by singer-guitarist Paul Stanley and includes original bassist Gene Simmons with guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer, both of whom have played on and off roles with the band over the years. The full track listing is available below.

Simmons says, “Sonic Boom may be the best new record we’ve done since Destroyer!,” Simmons stated on the band’s website. “It is Rock And Roll Over meets Love Gun.”

Kiss does plan to tour extensively in support of the new album, though only performances in Detroit and New Orleans have been announced.
