Kings of Leon plan return visit

Kings of Leon have rocked several shows in Boston since the release of their latest album, 2008’s Only By The Night, and now the band has revealed plans to return to the area for their biggest headlining show yet. The band will take on the Comcast Center on Friday, September 11 with some help from buzzing Glasgow imports Glasvegas. Tickets for the show, which are priced at& $25 and $42.50, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

Only By The Night has elevated the Tennessee natives to a new found level of success on their home soil after years of enjoying greater success in Europe. In February, the band won a Grammy Award for Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for their hit single, "Sex on Fire". In total, Kings of Leon earned three Grammy Award nominations including Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song. Last November, the band performed a two-night stand at the Orpehum Theatre. Kings of Leon returned in April for a two-night stand at the Agganis Arena.
