Margaritaville and Nashville will collide once again when Jimmy Buffett joins Zac Brown Band for the latest edition of CMT Crossroads. The two will perform together before an invitation only audience next month in Nashville for an episode that will premiere next March on CMT.

CMT Crossroads aims to bring country and pop/rock artists together for a special one-off performance. On the show, the two artists perform together, swap stories, and share their common love of music. Buffett and Zac Brown Band will now join previous Crossroad performers including Def Leppard and Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi and Sugarland, John Fogerty and Keith Urban, Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire, and Joss Stone and LeAnn Rimes.

Buffett, a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame, has had a long collaborative history with country artists. He’ll release his new studio album, Buffet Hotel, on December 8. It will be his first studio album since 2006’s Take the Weather With You.

Behind only Lady Gaga, Zac Brown Band are the biggest selling new artist of 2009 with their platinum debut album The Foundation and three #1 hit singles. Earlier this year, Zac Brown Band won an ACM Award and two CMT awards in addition to receiving four CMA nominations.
