Jay-Z makes plans for New England

Rap superstar Jay-Z has revealed plans for a fall tour that will make two stops in New England. On Saturday, October 24 Jay-Z will perform at the the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The following night, he’ll make his way out to Western Massachusetts for a show at the Mullins Center on the campus of UMass Amherst. Tickets for the Providence show range in price from $50 to $125 and go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, while tickets for the Amherst show range in price from $25 to $75 and go on sale Saturday at noon through Ticketmaster.

Jay-Z will be touring in support of his brand new album, The Blueprint 3. Originally scheduled for a September 11 release, the new album was released on Tuesday after it leaked early on the Internet. The album, his eleventh studio effort, is the final part of the Blueprint trilogy, which includes& 2001’s The Blueprint and 2002’s The Blueprint²: The Gift & The Curse. Jay-Z produced the album with help from a talented team led by Kanye West and Timbaland. The Blueprint 3 includes guest appearances from Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Drake, Kid Cudi, J. Cole, Pharrell, West, and more.&

Prior to the tour kickoff, Jay-Z will hold a charity concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Friday, September 11 in support of the New York Police & Fire Widows and Children’s Benefit Fund with 100% of the proceeds from tickets sales and concert merchandise going directly to the charity.&
