House of Blues adds shows, holds job fair today

As we’ve reported, the House of Blues will finally open on 15 Lansdowne Street next month. The venue has added another set of shows including more dates from hometown favorites Dropkick Murphys and another show for the legendary Pogues.

Additional shows include: Thievery Corporation (February 24), George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic (February 25), Jesse McCartney (February 27), Hollywood Undead and Senses Fail (March 6), Justin Nozuka and Missy Higgins (March 7), George Thorogood & The Destroyers (March 11), Ozomatli (March 18), Bloc Party (March 19), Les Claypool and Saul Williams (March 26), Live (March 27), Morrissey (March 29), Lady GaGa (March 30), Katy Perry (April 1), Derek Trucks Band (April 2), Mates of State and Black Kids (April 7), Umphrey’s McGee (April 9, 2009), Black Label Society and Sevendust (April 14), and 30H!3 (May 1). Tickets for all of the above shows willgo on sale Saturday, January 17.

The venue will feature a full service restaurant, 2400+ capacity concert hall, retail store and an exclusive VIP membership club. As a result, the House of Blues expects to hire more than 200 people to run their operations and will host a job fair today from& 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Absolut Clubhouse at Fenway Park. The House of Blues Boston is looking to fill a wide variety of positions, including ticket sellers, line and prep cooks, cocktail staff, restaurant hosts, servers, retail associates, bartenders, security staff, training coordinator, HR assistant, sous chef and dishwashers.
