Boston-bred band Guster have announced plans for a special fall outing to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their breakthrough album, Lost & Gone Forever. The band will rock a homecoming show at the Orpheum Theatre on October 31. Tickets for the show are $35 and go on sale today (July 17) at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

The tour is an opportunity for Guster to celebrate their acclaimed 1999 album, which in their words “helped us graduate from our van to a bus”.& The band will perform two sets at each show, one of which will be the Lost & Gone Forever album in its entirety and the other a variety of old favorites and possibly new tunes as well.&
For the nine-date outing, Guster has specially chosen each venue based on the historical significance to the group. Ten years ago at the Orpheum, Guster put on an epic Halloween show wearing tuxes and pretending it was New Year’s Eve, Y2K. Higher Ground in Vermont was where they launched the original “Lost & Gone Forever” tour and the Beacon in New York harkens back to a time when they played Thanksgiving Weekend in New York City five years in a row.&

For those that cannot wait till the fall, Guster will perform in Rhode Island at the Newport Yachting Center as part of the Newport Sunset Music Series on August 7. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $25 to $35, are now on sale.&
