The Pops delighted the crowd last year with their rendition of the Dropkick Murphys’ "Shipping Up To Boston" – complete with Irish step dancers.

Back in 2001, Cyndi Lauper performed with the Pops. This video shows her song "True Colors" and also finds things getting a little hot in the conductor’s seat for Keith Lockhart.&

Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth was certainly a surprising pick in 2004.& Even more surprising was how it actually worked out pretty darn well. Here they are performing "Jump".

Hometown heroes Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith teamed up with the Pops in 2006. Here’s a clip of the duo playing the band’s classic "Dream On" along with the orchestra.&

Lastly, we’ll leave you with a little bit of the Pops themselves peforming "Stars & Stripes Forever". What a great tradition we have here in Boston.&
