Extreme to return to the road

, Staff

Recently reunited Boston rockers Extreme will return to the road this summer. The band has announced plans for a homecoming show at the House of Blues on Saturday, August 8. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $35 to $45, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

Extreme are touring in support of their latest album, Saudades de Rock, which was released last summer. The band, which features vocalist Gary Cherone, guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, bassist Pat Badger and new drummer Kevin Figueiredo, reunited last year after a twelve year break. The album is their first studio effort in thirteen years and was produced by Bettencourt at L.A.’s NRG Studios.

Extreme will spend the summer with 80’s hair band rockers Ratt for a co-headlining tour (yea, we don’t understand the "co" part either). Ratt is currently in the studio recording its first new record in over 10 years with producer Elvis Baskette. Both bands will perform at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in new Hampshire on Friday, August 7.
