Dashboard Confessional frontman to mount acoustic tour

Just a week after Dashboard Confessional canceled their winter tour, the band’s mastermind and frontman Chris Carrabba has revealed plans to hit the road next month for an acoustic tour with guitarist John Lefle. New Found Glory, who were scheduled to open Dashboard Confessionals previously announced tour, will pick up acoustic guitars and join the duo on the road to deliver an unplugged set.

The tour will touch down in Cambridge on Thursday, December 10 for a show at the Middle East Downstairs. Tickets for the all-ages show are $25 and go on sale Thursday at 1 p.m. No hard tickets will be printed as all tickets will be sold on a will call only basis, where the only the ticket purchaser can pick up the tickets at the door and then immediately enter the show. Additionally, there will be a purchasing limit of four tickets per person.

On Tuesday, Dashboard Confessional released their sixth studio album, After the Ending. Produced by Butch Walker (Weezer, Fall Out Boy) and co-produced by Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne), the new album follows 2006’s Dusk and Summer. Carrabba released The Shade of Poison Trees album in 2007 under the band’s name.
