Chickenfoot, the latest rock supergroup, has revealed plans for a summer tour that will bring them to Boston for a show at the Bank of America Pavilion on Monday, August 24. The band is comprised of guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s drummer Chad Smith, and ex-Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony. Tickets for the Boston show, which are priced at $25 and $38.50, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

The tour follows the release of Chickenfoot’s self-titled debut album, which was released last week. The album was produced by Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones) and mixed by Mike Fraser (AC/DC , Metallica). The band’s first single, “Oh Yeah,” recently became the #1 single on the classic rock charts and the #1 most added single in the mainstream rock charts.

Last month, Chickenfoot hit the road to test the new material with an intimate club tour that stopped at the Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge. For our review of the show, go here.
