Canadian music collective Broken Social Scene have announced plans for a tour that will bring them to Boston’s House of Blues on Friday, September 17. Tickets, which range in price from $25 to $35, are now on sale through Live Nation. Set to open for the band at the show are The Sea and Cake.

The indie rock group, which includes as few as six but up to as many as nineteen members, recently released their fourth album Forgiveness Rock Record back in May. The album was produced by John McEntire and features a number of guest appearances from members of bands such as Pavement, Metric and Death From Above 1979. The album reached #1 on the Canadian charts and #34 on Billboard 100 in the United States. The album has also received a fair amount of critical praise, including a spot on the short list for Canada’s 2010 Polaris Music Prize.
